Macarons + Mary Kay Makeup = Perfect Galentine’s Day party!
I always thought Valentine’s Day was a total bummer unless you had a date, until Parks and Rec introduced this girl power holiday to the world. Now, it’s my absolute favorite day of the year!
This year, I decided to go all out and plan a super cute and very adorable party for all of my besties! It had everything you need for the best girls only event: macarons, great friends, and makeovers! My friends and I were even given the chance to try out Mary Kay’s skin care products and brand new teen/young adult beauty line!
We started the party with fresh faces and facials! We all absolutely fell in love with their skin care products. Our faces felt so light, clean, and smooth!

Then we got to experiment with their makeup! We all got color matched to try out their foundation (which was super easy to apply, it was like moisturizer!), tested out their mascara and blush, and got to see how different each lip gloss is on each person.
But our favorite part of the party, was getting to go crazy with the beauty bar. There was a ton of eyeshadows, lip crayons, and eyeliners to choose from! Plus, they were totally easy to use, so we were able to give each other makeovers!
The whole teen/young adult collection was vibrant, youthful, and definitely playful. With bright, yet natural shades and easy to apply products, it’s perfect for the on-the-go girl!
Of course, our Galentine’s Day party wouldn’t have been complete without desserts to “treat yo self” to! I put together a small dessert bar for my friends and I to snack on while we played with makeup, because every party needs rose macarons and cupcakes!

I think my first ever Galentine’s Day party was a huge success, thanks to our amazing Mary Kay consultant Laurie Laxa, and to all of my besties who came to hang out!
